Business 4.4% semi growth this year and next, says WSTS

WSTS Forecast Summary

The semiconductor market is forecast to hit $304 billion in 2013, up 4.4% from 2012, says WSTS, which contrasts with the IHS forecast of 5% growth this year to $318 billion.

WSTS says the growth is mainly driven by the double digit growth of memory.

All regions except Japan will grow. The Japanese market is forecasted to decline in dollars due to steep Japanese Yen depreciation.

In 2014 and 2015 the market is expected to grow 4.4% and 3.4% respectively to $317 billion in 2014 and $328 billion in 2015.
